Process for Nikkah performed at Masjied

A Nikkah is an auspicious occasion and all necessary preperations needs to be undertaken by the parties to the Nikkah, and the Masjid, in order for all the rights to be fulfilled and the occasion to run smoothly.

In order for this to occur, we require the following process to be followed:

1. The name of the lmaam if not the resident Imaam (Sheikh Ismail Isaacs) to be provided upon application.
2. The officiating Imaam needs to contact Sheikh Ismail Isaacs to discuss the rules and procedures.
3. Each Nikkah is allocated a 1 hour time slot to complete their proceedings.
4. If the proceeding is completed before the allotted we kindly request that the parties exit the Masjied to make way for the next Nikkah.
5. Strictly No photography/video will be allowed inside the Mihrab.
6. Strictly no food allowed inside the Masjied. Only Take away boxes are allowed.
7. Ladies who attend the Nikkah, must stay only in the dedicated ladies area.
8. We ask all parties to respect the sanctity of the Masjid and be mindful they are in the House of Allah and should adhere to the rules and regulations of the Masjid.
9. If Sheikh Ismail Isaacs is performing the Nikkah, a mandatory meeting with Sheikh Ismail Isaacs at the Masjid anytime up until 1 week prior to the Nikkah must be held.
10. Sheikh Ismail is available at the Masjied every Monday between Magrib and Eshaa.
11. A non-refundable donation for R 1 000 (One Thousand Rands Only) must be made to the Masjid into the bank accounts referred here below on the date of application. Failure to do so will result in your date not being confirmed and be made available to others.

Masjid Wedding Conduct
1. The sanctity of the Masjid must be protected and respected at all times.
2. No photographs of the wedded couple may be taken inside the Masjid.
3. No photography or videography is permitted within the mihrab (prayer niche) of the Masjid.
4. Men and women must remain in their designated areas while inside the Masjid.
5. Women’s areas are upstairs or in the side section leading to the open courtyard.
