'And [He revealed] that the Masjids are for Allah,
so do not invoke with Allah anyone'
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
"And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience]."
Quran 2:43
"Maintain with care the [obligatory] prayers and [in particular] the middle prayer and stand before Allah, devoutly obedient."
Quran 2:238
"Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times."
Quran 4:103
"And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah]."
Quran 2:45
Salaah is the second pillar of Islam and the most important act of worship after the Shahadah.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
"Islam is built upon five: Testifying that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establishing prayer, paying zakah, pilgrimage to the House, and fasting Ramadan." (Bukhari)
Praying in congregation at the Masjid is highly emphasized:
The Prophet ﷺ said: "The prayer of a man in congregation is twenty-five times superior to his prayer in his house or market." (Bukhari)
Salaah provides numerous spiritual benefits:
"The first matter that the slave will be brought to account for on the Day of Judgment is the prayer. If it is sound, then the rest of his deeds will be sound." (Tabarani)
"Allah does not accept prayer without purification." (Muslim)
Muslims must face the Ka'bah in Makkah during prayer.
In Masjid Al-Furqaan, the Qiblah direction has been carefully determined according to Islamic guidelines.
"So turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you are, turn your faces toward it." (Quran 2:144)
"O Children of Adam! Take your adornment at every masjid..." (Quran 7:31)
