Support our Imam! Your generous donations help Sheikh Ismail Isaacs continue his vital role in leading our prayers, teaching classes, and serving our community.

Following high school, Sheikh Ismail Isaacs embarked on a journey of Islamic knowledge. This included memorizing the Quran (Hifth) and studying Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh) on Friday evenings with Sh M Ganief Moos. He also dedicated time to reading lessons with his late brother, Sh M Fuad Isaacs.
Sheikh Ismail Isaacs quest for knowledge continued when he had the opportunity to study with esteemed scholars (Shuyukh) from Al-Azhar University during his time in Cape Town at Shukrul Mubeen.
Furthermore, Sheikh Ismail Isaacs pursued a teaching diploma at North West University and are currently working towards a higher degree in Education. Sheikh Ismail Isaacs dedication to Islamic knowledge extends to his service as Imam at the Masjid, which began in 2005.

Moulana Ismail Moosagie
Deputy Imaam of Masjid Al-Furqaann

Moulana Ismail Moosagie currently serves as the Deputy Imam at Masjid Al-Furqaan. Having completed his studies in 2003 at the age of 40, he relocated from Durban to Cape Town.

He officially assumed the position of Deputy Imam around 2010 and has been actively involved in the Masjid ever since.

Moulana Moosagie fervently prays for Allah's continued strength to allow him to serve the community for many years to come.
